Wednesday was awesome!

Wheew, finally a good day. I won two giveaways yesterday, I won the booster seat from Vanilla Joy and I won two bottles of Log Cabin syrup from Momma In Flip Flops2.

I finally got to spend about 6 hours with a kiddo, who is now 25, that I used to babysit for. He, his girlfriend and his adorable 4 month old baby are in Ohio visiting and they came over for a bit and we went to Quaker Steak and Lube for dinner, it was yummy. It was very nice getting to see him again and to hear of all his great accomplishments and know that his life has turned out so wonderful. You see, he had a really rough childhood and went through a lot with him mom and dad who divorced when he was just a tot. His childhood was so rough for him that Hubby and I had started Foster Parenting classes so that he could come and live with us, but we made a tough decision to call his dad that he had not seen or talked to in years, so he went to live with him for a few years until he passed away 11 years ago. We are so very proud of him and everything he has become. Way to go B.E.!! We are definitely going to keep track of him and not lose touch. I was very glad to meet the two girls in his life, his girlfriend and baby girl. We call his baby "our should have been first grandbaby" =) Here are some pictures I swiped from his Myspace, thanks "B"!!

Well the weather outside is rainy again. Anymore that is nothing new. Everything is soggy outside including my garden that is finally tilled and needs planted. Hopefully after the rain today and then again on Saturday it will dry out like the weather man is calling for and I can get out there and get in planted on Wednesday or so. I could plant it now I suppose but I really don't want to get out there and roll around in the mud like a pig.
