Exciting News About Lexi!!!

Lexi

Praying for Lexi

For those of you who have been following me for a while, you know that one of my daycare kiddos, Lexi, was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma this past summer. She has been having monthly chemo treatments ever since and today, her mom posted this on their Caring Bridge journal:

I have wonderful news! Today I spoke with Alexis's nurse practiition
er who had just received the preliminary results of Alexis's CT scan from yesterday. The scan showed that the mass in her adrenal gland has decreased in size from all dimensions. Her lymph nodes are also smaller! This is exactly what the doctors expected to happen. We are very hopeful by this news! The surgeons will now review these results and then meet with us to let us know exactly what to expect from her upcoming surgery. The hope is that they will be able to remove the remainder of the mass! Please continue to pray that the mass can be removed in it's entirety! We still do not have a surgery date, but will keep everyone posted.

Love,
Jen

OMG, I was so excited when I read this. It is such great news for her. You can visit Lexi's journal page. (You have to log-in to read it and leave a comment) Be sure to leave words of encouragement because her mom, Jen, says this journal is a type of therapy for her and Scot (Lexi's dad). If I could, I would be doing cartwheels in the front yard for her.
