21 Years Ago Today....

...I was giving birth to our beautiful baby girl. Who came into this world at 11:05am weighing 3# 5.5 oz. and was 19" long. Even though she was 7 weeks early, she was the most perfect baby. She was definitely a strong little sprout. She did not want to be on the oxygen hood that they put her on for the first few hours. She stayed in OSU Hospital NICU for 19 days while she was growing to the mandatory 4#. OMGosh, she was the smallest thing that I had ever seen, but she was just so beautiful.

I will never forget the day that she was born....because she was so small, we didn't get to hold her after birth, they showed her to us then wisked her away to be checked out. I didn't get to see her until the next day, which was heartbreaking. But it was not as heartbreaking as they day that I was released from the hospital and we had to leave her there. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it. I cried the whole way home. Jr was so supportive, he kept putting his arm around me telling me that everything was going to be okay.

She is such a sweet and precious little girl who is becoming a beautiful woman.

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY SWEET BABY GIRL!

(I guess it's time to update the external hard drive with more recent pictures)

  5. When I was little, I also had to stay in the hospital. My Mom refused to leave without me. My Dad worked in the ER where I was born, so he told the Dr that my Mom had postpartum depression and they admitted her until I was released. She didn't really have it, but they knew she wouldn't leave without me.

Your daughter is beautiful. Happy late Birthday!
