Those of you who follow me, know that I definitely love my dogs, Shadow and Sophie. We also have living with us, our daughter and her dog Motley. Our dogs are part of our happy little family. We do what we need to do to keep them healthy. We do not buy that cheap dog food for them because of all the additives that they have in them. I have always thought that the food that we currently buy was some of the best without having to pay the price of prescription dog food.

Then I was contacted by the makers of Taste of the Wild pet foods about trying out some of their dog food. It's a new grain-free canned option from Taste of the Wild. Taste of the Wild is an all-life stages food that is formulated to meet your dog's nutritional needs throughout all stages of life, from puppy to senior years. Taste of the Wild lets you satisfy their instinctual cravings for those foods they could find in the wild! I was so excited that jumped at the chance to do this. With our Shadow being diabetic and having such a hard time regulating his insulin, and the fact that we need to keep his food regulated so his sugar doesn't get out of control again, he unfortunately missed out on the taste testing. I too, skipped out on it.


Now, our dogs are fed twice per day at 9am and 9pm, because of Shadow and his diabetes. The little dogs, Sophie and Motley, are not always ones to hop up and come and eat as soon as they are fed. They are lazy when it comes to that until I started feeding them the Taste of the Wild canned food. The first time I fed them it, they looked at me like "What is this?" Then we they finally decided to eat it, they loved it. Now, when we feed them, they do not mess around. You see, it's first come first serve in the chow line.
.I think by the look on Motley's face, he loves it. He wouldn't even let Sophie in so I am off to feed just her when I get done here.

Now, I am not one to eat Venison, or Buffalo or any rodent out there. I can't even bring myself to eat Turkey bacon or Turkey burgers so when I saw the ingredients, it kinda made me queasy. I was not sure if I could give them the food or not, then I read the ingredients and I had absolutely no problems at all. The Taste of the Wild dog food has tons more healthy things in it for them to eat.

I am totally impressed with this food. When I first decided to do this review and giveaway, I figured it would be a dog food that would be very expensive and hard to find. Now, I live a rural area have have to drive 20-25 minutes to get to anything besides a Kroger's but when I did a search on their Dealer Locator, I was amazed that within 30 miles of me, there were 23 places where I could purchase some plus there are a lot of places on line where you can buy it also.
