I would have to say making pud pies with the neighbor girl was the best. He dad even made us a drying rack so we could sit our "works of art" on to dry them on. We made all kinds of stuff, plates, bowls, cups, pitchers, you name it. lol
ReplyDeleteI loved visiting my Grandfolks. Either on the farm with one set or in the library with the other. I was blessed to have boxes of books sent to me by my librarian Grandmother (see where my love of reading came from?). And my other Grandmother was an amazing country cook who taught me how to make the most out of every thing you had available. So I am frugal, well read and love deeply from my wonderful ancestors.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite childhood memories are of holidays birthdays and other special occasions. We had a big family so there was always a great family get together. As we got older, family get together remain a constant and I love that my children see the importance of remaking close.
