PERDUE Chicken Breast Roasts Review

Have you ever tried the PERDUE Chicken Breast Roasts? I had my first ones last night and I now know why they call them roasts and not just chicken breast. These things are huge 1lb roasts. They are the biggest chicken breasts I have ever seen and they are already marinated up for us and packaged in a bag and all we have to do is cut the bag open and dump it out and pop it in the oven at 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. What could be easier, right?
Since each roast is 1lb is has four servings of 4 ounces each, which is what we are all supposed to be eating per serving and I can see the the four servings with as big as they are. I decided that I was going to go ahead and try both flavors at the same time. They have a Lemon Herb and a Smokehouse Peppercorn

The both have 110 calories and 3 grams of fat per serving so the different marinades do not make of a difference in the calorie content. I know that raw meat is not very appetizing but below is a picture of the roasts before putting them in the oven. I wanted to show this to you so that you could see how much marinade is actually on them.

Now, don't those look delicious? Well, they were absolutely delicious. They were moist, tender and flavorful. I was afraid with cooking them for so long uncovered that they would be dried out but I was completed surprised. I even screwed up and got all involved with the Superbowl and forgot to start fixing the rest of supper so they were completely done when I started the Rice-A-Roni to go along with it and we all know that it takes about 25 minutes.  Even after having to wait for it, they were still moist and juicy and even my anti-chicken Hubby ate them and liked them both, which is saying a lot. We both came decided that we liked the Smokehouse Peppercorn better that the Lemon Herb. I know that I will be buying more of these and not only using them for dinners but all using them to cut up and put in salads. And as for the 4 ounce servings and four servings per roast, I was right. They are huge roasts and definitely big enough to have four servings each.

I have to say that I was over reading some things about PERDUE and I saw that they raise their chickens cage free, they get an all vegetarian diet and they get no animal by-products.
