Rediscovering Something You've Seen Your Whole Life

If you all were here for my post last week, you will understand the whole thing with the 600 Brilliant Blog Post Ideas and where it came from, but if not, you can check it out here. If not, then read on.

# 544. Describe a time you rediscovered something that you have seen your whole life.

Wow, this is a simple one and there are so many things that I have rediscovered that I had seen my whole life but there is one thing that sticks out in my mind.

magnifying glass photo: Magnifying Glass MagnifyingGlass.jpgI remember the exact conversation that caused me to rediscover it in a whole new light and when I did, it just confirmed things in my life and made me realize that I was not crazy and that it was not just me. I have tried to come to terms with it and accept it and it has been really hard to do and I have to say that without the help of my wonderful Husband I don't think that I would be as accepting of it as I am. I realize that no matter what I do, it's never going to change so I might as well get used to it. It's amazing how things can bother you for years and years and you never really get past them and as adults they can effect you daily and we just have to learn to accept them and move on.

I know that I am being very vague on what I am talking about but I have family that reads my blog and I must keep the peace within the family. I have already been blamed for causing relationships to crumble, which crumbled on their own without my help trust me. I have been deleted and blocked on Facebook by family members for speaking my mind which I guess we aren't allowed to do in such a family unless you are the family spokesperson.

Anyway, it's wonderful to know that I have a great support system within my Husband and that with him, I can conquer anything, anyone and anything that gets thrown my way.

Now, it's your turn.

Do you have a time you rediscovered something that you have seen your whole life?

PS: I will reply to your comment with what this is all about.

  1. I have been pretty much introspective my whole life so there is nothing that comes to mind. Maybe the fact that I can never be what my Mom wants me to be--more like her--not happening--I am me and I like me just the way I am!

  2. I'm glad nobody cares enough to actually read anything I write, but then again I really don't write anything that could hurt anyone. This makes me think about spicing it up a bit. I really can't think of anything I've seen my whole life. Will definitely have to think harder about it.

  3. When I discovered that someone close to me was an alcoholic, it made me see things that I had explained away in a new light, knowing they were all signs of the alcoholism.

  4. Hmmm this is a good one. I recently met up with an elementary school friend who I haven't seen for 15 years! I came to the realization that we all have very different views of each other and ourselves when we are younger -- and that so many tears or jealous moments in life are often times reciprocated by those same people - but we are too much in our own worlds to see this when we are younger.
