...you just feel like you need to just throw in the towel? Oh, I am having one of those days today. I call this a dumpy day for me. Basically it's a feel sorry for myself kind of day.
I feel I am just getting nowhere. I work and work and never seem to get anywhere. I understand that my Hubby is laid off right now but I had high expectations that he would be back to work by April 1st. Wasn't that an April Fool's joke. He is laid of temporarily and they said it should have been just 60 to 90 days, well that has came and went. We are in need of some things that we can not have until he goes back to work and we have more money coming in, and it is driving me nuts I am not used to that. I also had some hope that he would pick up some of the household chores since he wasn't working but that has not happened either which upset me, but what am I to do? I love my Hubby to death and I understand that him not working is not his fault.

For those of you who don't know, I am a home daycare provider, and I am watching someones else's kids anywhere from 86 to 95 hours per week. I have extremely long days Monday thru Friday and a shorter day on Saturday. I love my daycare kids to death. I am not sure what I would ever do without them. They are really great but, it just wears me out. I guess I just need a vacation.
My hubby and daughter have now decided that I am worse than a teenager on myspace. I am not quite sure that I agree with them. I still get the meals, take out the trash, do the laundry, do my job, buy the groceries, clean the house, visit the grandparents on Sunday and answer the phone when nobody else wants to. And sometimes I don't do that either. I don't see a teenager doing all that and spending time on the Internet. As a matter of fact I don't much see my Hubby doing all that either:) He would do it if I asked, I am sure but I just don't want to have to ask. I would rather just do it myself.
You know after reviewing the last two paragraphs I think that I have a right to feel the way I do today. I think I deserve to have a dumpy day. I just realized that maybe I am exhausted. I think that I am right.
Exhausted =
ex·haust (ĭg-zôst') v. ex·haust·ed , ex·haust·ing , ex·hausts v. tr.
1. To wear out completely.
2. To drain of resources or properties.
3. To use up completely.
4. To treat completely.
4. To treat completely.
5. To draw out the contents of.
6. To let out or draw off.
Sorry for being such a whiner today but I needed it.
Amen Sister Friend....
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I am exhausted also. We should take a Day Off. My Bro is busy, helping everyone else he needs to prioritize and help you. I have no answer for the "R" she should help too. Kids, can't live without them or with them.
Take Care, Try to rest, and remember to BREATHE!!!!!
Sounds like you definitely need a bit of time to refresh and renew. My mom ran a licensed daycare when I was growing up. It is not an easy occupation.
ReplyDeleteI am with ya sista. We are down to one income too(just mine) and my income is down 40%. I remember the good ole days when i didn;t have to fret or procrastinate about buying myself a new bra and socks. This too shall pass. I am hoping with Spring comes, green grass, bunny rabbits and a brighter year. Thanks for stopping by my blog too. Oh yeah, as far as I'm concern daycare providers have one of the hardest jobs in the world. I envy your strength!
ReplyDeleteHere from SITS. Don't worry about it, I've been grumpy all week!
