My thoughts:

I absolutely love books about animals but I do have to say that I am not a lover of books about politics, especially this time of year with so much of it on the news and television. I did have a hard time getting into this book at the beginning but once I finally got going I was okay with it.

I have to admit that I loved the fact that the book was written coming from the dogs point of view and that the dogs did talk to the other animals. If you don't mind reading books with a political background, you will absolutely love this book. I did enjoy reading the book and I do recommend this book.
