I'm Finally Arriving At the ULTIMATE BLOG PARTY 2010

A party? I don't attend parties too often. But hey, I just couldn't pass this one up. If you don't know what this party is all about, let me explain. The 2 lovely women over at 5 MINUTES FOR MOM started this annual party in 2006 and can you believe this is my first time to be here. lol I was too new to blogging last year to get involved, probably even too new to have even known about it. So now to introduce myself:

My name is Tammy and I am unfortunately the big 4-0. I am not too happy about being 40 but there is absolutely nothing that I can do about that. Anyway, I am married to my High School Sweetheart and we have one wonderful daughter who turned 21 this past March.



I am a County Certified Home Daycare Provider, which simply means that I am subcontracted through our local County Job and Family Services to provide Home Daycare for children from low income families that the State pays for the daycare, so the mommies and daddies can work. Not all my daycare kiddos are from low income families, I have some that are from private pay families also. I do have to say that almost all my families are single mom's raising her children on her own.

I work way too many hours per week and I am overstressed with doing so, but since Hubby was laid off over a year ago and we had a huge income loss, it is my job to make up for that while he tries to gets his own business going. I figure that he gave me that opportunity back in 1992 so the least I could do is give him that much.

I started blogging in February 2009 for the sole purpose of entering giveaways because I was listening to my Sister-in-law talk about all the neat things that she was winning by entering bloggy giveaways. I then found it a place where I could vent about all my frustrations until Facebook came along and messed it up for me. Then family got involved and well a lot of my venting on here had to come to a halt because my blogs is tied into my Facebook. If I could only step back in time and keep the two seperate.

I have won some really great things from entering giveaways, and now am having giveaways of my own. A few here and there is great for me right now, with all the hours I spend with the daycare kiddos.

I would love to have some new bloggy friends, not that I don't enjoy the ones I already have but their is always room for more friends in everyone's life.
