I have some fantastic followers out there who are always commenting on my daycare posts so I thought I would give them some light into my life as a daycare provider, so here goes my typical Monday, Wednesday and Friday ~ Tue, Wed, Thurs, Fri, ~ Thurs, Fri Sat (I will do the other Sat and Sunday times later)
3:15am Wake up to get 2 daycare boys in. "LH" 8 and "JW" 11
3:45am Boys arrive.
4:15am Boys are usually settled and asleep so I am off to lay back down.
5:45am Up again to get showered and ready for the day.
6:10am Get boys and 3rd shift girl "KBW" 4, ready for school.
6:25am Get Breakfast consisting of cereal and drinks ready for all to eat.
6:30am Family of 3 arrives "BB" 3, "SB" 2 and "KB"
7:50am Get everyone's (KBW, BB, SB, KB) shoes on so that I can take "JW" to bus stop.
7:55am Bus arrives for "LH" and rest of us get in Trailblazer and leave for bus stop.
7:05am Bus arrives at stop for "JW" then we are on our way to drop "KBW" off.
7:10am Dropping "KBW" off at preschool. Yep, unloading/loading other 3 kiddos.
7:15am Back at my house. (IF the family of 3 is running late they are waiting for me to get back home)
7:20am Little Miss "S" 5,arrives.
7:30am Mr "B" 2, arrives.
7:45am Once again I am getting bowls of cereal and drinks for the kiddos that just arrived.
8:00am Cleaning up from both breakfasts.
8:15am Open play for the kiddos.
9:15am I read to the kids at least one book each.
9:45am Constructive playtime. We either build with block, legos, train set, etc
10:30am Barney's Clean-Up song
10:45am Music time for kiddos while I start cooking lunch.
11:15am Wash you hands song so kids will wash up and I serve lunch.
11:15am Possible "ES" 4 & "JS" 3 arrive.
11:40am Potty time.
11:45am Kids are getting blankets, pillows and mats out for Nap-time.
11:50am I read 1 book per child.
12:15pm Turn Kid's music channel on and kiddos take naps.
12:30pm Mr "B" leaves and I decide what Hubby/I want for lunch, fix it and eat.
12:30 ~ 2:30pm Relax, blog, catch up on tv shows or keep going in to tell kiddos to please be quiet so the others can sleep.
2:45 pm "LH" arrives home from school.
3:00pm Make sure all kiddos are awake (and sometimes they are grumpy). Free play time.
3:13pm Go to bus stop and pick up "JW" (usually without other kiddos).
3:0pm Possible "ES" 4, "JS" 3, "CS" 6, "NS" 8 arrive.
3:30pm Arrive back with "JW" and get kiddos snack.
3:45pm Older boys do homework and other kiddos quietly watch a show on TV.
4:00pm Either we go outside or play inside.
4:00pm "TF" 4 and "AW" 6 arrive.
5:30pm Family of 3 "BB" "SB" "KB" get picked up and goes home.
5:10pm Possible "ES" & "JS" get picked up and goes home.
6:00pm Miss "S" gets picked up and goes home.
6:15pm I start fixing supper for 2 boys "LH" & "JW" and my family.
6:45pm Finally eating supper.
7:15pm Cleaning up from supper and dishes.
8:30pm Possibly 2 boys "LH" & "JW" get picked up and goes home.
9:00pm "KBW" arrives (Sunday thru Thurs)
9:30pm Get "KBW", "ES", "JS", "CS", "NS", "TF" and "AW" laid down and ready to go to sleep.
10:00pm If 2 boys didn't go home at 8:30 they leave now and I blog.
11:00pm Possible "ES" & "JS" gets picked up and goes home.
11:00pm "TF" and "AW" get picked up and goes home.
11:00pm Go to bed.

HOLY COW! I read this about three times...You are unbelievable. I hope your day care people LOVE you because if you were watching my little ones when they were little, I would have REALLY appreciated you!!!

A daycare next to our town just lost two kids today. Three and four year olds went for a long walk. They found them about 1/2 mile away. Some nice man saw them going door to door. How nerve wracking is that. My daughter is a day care lady, but the hours are 7AM to 6PM. Nothing like you.
I kind of feel bad for the little ones that come at 3:15AM. The parents must be hard workers..

That is insane Tammy. HOW in the world can them parents drop their children off at 3am that is crazy. THose poor babies. I am sure they get to go back to bed but that is broken sleep for them they cant' function well. BUSY BUSY. and I thought I had it rough.
