Today, July 14th's theme (so I am a little early) is "Three Things You Didn't Know About Me"
Okay, so here goes:
1. I actually slept in the White House. And I do mean the real, actual White House. I was only about 13 or so, my aunt worked for the Secret Service and had to go into work for a while and we were going to do some site seeing when she got off work so me and her two older kids went with her and when we got to the White House we laid down and went back to sleep for a while until she was done working.
2. Some call me a daycare work-a-holic.
3. I once sat in an ejection seat in Pigeon Forge, TN. I enjoyed it and would do it again in a heart beat. No, it is not the kind of ejection seat in an airplane. You basically get the same rush as bungee jumping without jumping. Instead you are flung high into the air while strapped in a seat.
Make sure you add your link. Do not start a new MckLinky, we all use the same MckLinky.

Nice to meet you! I'm visiting from this week's Blog Hop. :) I don't think I'd be brave enough to do the ejection seat thing -- the sheer height would freak me out. On August 1, I'll be hosting a new meme called Small World Saturday. I hope that you'll join the fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you will be the only blog I read that the writer has slept in the white house!
ReplyDeleteI do some inhome daycare too!
Just stopping by on the blog hop! I'm in love with my two labs :) I also did the ejection seat in TN on a church trip! It was terrifying and to make it worse they gave me a video of our faces!!
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm at the Hop today and stopped by to get to know you better. I hope that you'll find the time to visit me, too!
ReplyDeleteHoppin in to say hi :).
ReplyDeleteWow, I am so boring next to you! Exciting life you lead there. Those ejection seats, I'd never try! I did the skydiver once though .. where they put you in a body suit and pull you up on a cord and let you go ... I won't do it again, it was fun but that is one thing that ONCE is enough for me :)
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to do one of those ejection seat things, but I can never talk my husband into it!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the blog hop!
