Night Owl Mama needs your help!!

Tricia from Night Owl Mama needs our help to win her family a Disney vacation. She has entered an essay contest called My Secret Confession over at SOS Vacation by HomeAway. She needs to get as many votes as she can in order to win a $10,000 Disney vacation, WOW! There are 1305 entries and the top 15 entries that are chosen by the public (that's us) will then be chosen for final judging. And boy does she need our votes to be in the top 15. Votes will be counted from 12:00 p.m. CST on Thursday, July 2, 2009, until Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

Now, let me tell you a little bit about the Night Owl Mama. She is a mother of 4 children ranging from 1 to 8 years of age. She has been blogging since October 2008 and here is what she says about blogging:

"Finding my way to blogging and a little bit of "ME time" and a few friendships along the way in the last 6 months has helped me tremendously. If I didn't have this and your blogs to read and comment I don't know where I'd be right now. I'm just glad I got out of that FUNK I was in. SO I THANK YOU."

Here is what she said about entering the essay contest:

"I entered an essay contest that voting starts TODAY. (the day before my birthday) The contest is for winning a vacation for my family. I could of chose anywhere they have a time share location. There where a ton of places that I would love to visit but this past yr things have been really difficult for me as far as a parent, mom and a wife. Having added another child to our family was very overwhelming, and I can't tell you how difficult it was. IF you ever had two children close in age, with older children in school, and a house to take care of you know what I'm talking about. It was very very hard for me to stay focused as a mother. I was depressed, tired, and just running on auto pilot. Thinking about getting drugs to help me function as a person. (As a breastfeeding mother I didn't think that would be a good idea) I wasn't a very good Mother or a good wife."

Here is a little bit of her essay:

"I became very depressed and started neglecting my other children. I seemed to run like a robot, without sleep, sad, and very short tempered. My days seemed to run from one to the next. Every day the same. The screaming wouldn't stop and sometimes it was me. Then I realized I have 3 other children. Do I remember being a mom to them?"

She is always there to give me a pep talk when I am down in the dumps (funk as she calls it)and is faithful about commenting. I think she needs and deserves to win her family that Disney vacation. Don't you??
