A LOT OF STUFF!!
Way to much stuff for me. Mom and I went up to their house on Sunday and spent eight hours going through stuff. Basically we cleaned out 5 closets and the dresser, bathroom and kinda the kitchen. We never touched the living room, dining room or the downstairs family room, pool room, kitchen, laundry room or bathroom. What a huge house. I knew is was big, but it's bigger when you have to clean it out.
I guess maybe I should explain myself a little. They haven't passed away, we are just going to have a couple of garage sales to get rid of EVERYTHING left in that house. As you, who follow me know, they moved into an assisted living apartment about 8 months ago and now no longer need anything that is at their house. My theory, they haven't seen it or touched it in 8 months so they don't need it. We will have to have more than one sale because that house it crammed full. I wish I knew someone who wears size 6 petite and size 7 Narrow shoe. They would be in clothes and shoe heaven. I bet she had 30 pairs of shoes and half of them don't even look worn. Oh I am so regretting telling them I would do the sale for them, but nobody else would help. Heck, the family members from the Columbus are knew we were going through the house yesterday so I would have thought they would have showed up to help. My theory, you snooze you lose. ;o) Did I type that? ;o)
Well, I am off to get ready for my two 3rd shift kiddos then shower after they go to sleep.

HI hugs to having to go through all that stuff. I hope there isn't anything really special that they want to keep.
ReplyDeletedo you have FREECYCLE near you. ITs an online program where neighbors give to neighbors. freecycle.org I think it is maybe able to help you with clothing or check the local church. GOODluck garage sales are a lot of work
