.) Have you started your Christmas shopping? Yes, but I don't have much done yet.
.) Tell me about one of your special traditions. One of my traditions this year has been squashed....My dumb uncle T and his family decided that it is too much of a hassle to have Christmas with my Grandparents, who are 90 and 92, because they have to drive 1 hour. Yep, 1 freaking hour! Needless to say, I am a little pissed off about the whole thing. With them being 90 and 92, how many more Christmas's do they think we can have with them? I guess what pisses me off the most is that it really hurt my Grandparents feelings and my Grandpa said "I guess that the money I give them isn't enough for them to come up and visit." That is just wrong. You can bet your butt, that I will have a Christmas with my Grandparents.
.) When do you put up your Tree? I didn't have to put it up this year, our 20 year old daughter did it this year while Hubby and I were on a mini vacation over the Thanksgiving weekend. I like to wait until after the 1st of December but not our daughter.
.) Are you a Black Friday shopper? Normally I am a Black Friday junkie, but this year my junkie buddy, Aunt "J", had to work so Hubby and I enjoyed the time relaxing in Maryland.
.) Do you Travel at Christmas or Stay home? The farthest we travel is about 10 minutes away, to my parents house.
.) What is your funniest Christmas memory? OMGosh, when my niece "T" was about 5 she unwrapped our present to her and started jumping up and down screaming "I got Mac & Cheese! I got my own Mac & Cheese!" She was so excited that she had her won Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I hated to break her heart and tell her that it was not Mac & Cheese....her gift was inside the box. We had gotten her some play jewlery, another one of her favorites. She was heart broken. Thank goodness that I had a real box of Mac & Cheese in the cupboard that I could give her. After I did that, she was happy with her jewlery AND Mac & Cheese.
.) What is your favorite Christmas Movie of All time? I love Christmas Vacation, it's one of my all time favorites any time of the year.
.)Do you do your own Christmas Baking, what’s your favorite treat? I love baking cut-out sugar cookies because they are my favorite but I also like making Buckeyes and hard tack candy.
.) Fake or Real Tree? Fake, cleaning up after a real tree is too much work and it hurts when you step on the needles.
.) What day (as a Mom) does the actual panic set in to get it all done? Just a couple days before Christmas.
.) Are you still wrapping presents on Christmas Eve? Sometimes but not usually.
.) What is your favorite family fun time at Christmas? I love Christmas morning with our daughter opening her presents and having Cinnamon and Orange rolls.
.) What Christmas craft do you like the best? I love making things with the daycare kiddos like foam Christmas trees or Rudolph's out of their hand prints.
.) Christmas music. Yes or No, and if yes What is your favorite song? Yes, but ONLY the week of Christmas. If I start listening to it too early, I get tired of it. My favorite is Silent Night.
.) When do you plan to finish all your shopping? This year it's going to be later than I would like, it will be the weekend before Christmas. I am usually pretty much done by the second week of December. I am slow this year.
