Small Talk Six topics for 2009.
It will be interesting to see how each participant interprets this week’s topic.
Today’s topic is “6 things you love or hate about spending time with your or your significant other’s relatives.” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .
Oh, my goodness, where to begin. This is not going to be fun.
1. LOVE ~ They all pretty much get along really well.
2. HATE ~ The house is sooo crowed and busy.
3. LOVE ~ They are great fun to be around.
4. HATE ~ No one has a house big enough to accommodate all of us (he has 5 brothers & sisters plus their kids and families).
5. LOVE ~ There is never a dull moment.
6. HATE ~ Sometimes I have to watch my mouth, it's not always the best behaved. Sometimes it says some of those 4 letter words and sometimes waaaay to often. I just don't know what I am going to do with it. Sorry guys!

Getting along well is a gem in family relationships and very important. I learned that when I lived away from my own family and with my in-laws. There was so much to adjust on. On my side of the family when we are having reunions we camp on the living room floor and talk all night. The disadvantage is when one farts, everyone suffers, lol...
ReplyDeleteNever a dull a moment - don't I just love that too! Happy holidays!
wow, that's a lot of people...my family is so spread apart we never get together :(
ReplyDeleteAmen to #4 and #5. Sometimes it feels good to not watch your mouth- at least in my opinion :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great Saturday!

Oh I forgot about space... No need dress warmly when you have many bodies in one room anyway.
ReplyDeleteOh I hate the house being crowed and busy too. Great list
ReplyDeleteIt's cool you all get along so well! I understand what you mean about the crowding though. We have a big family too and it can get stressful.
ReplyDeleteI too love that there is never a dull moment.
